Cruise Planners

Fall offers a great time to travel because of better fares and more itineraries. Cruise ships reposition in the fall.

That means you have more choices of locations and travel venues to choose. In early fall, cruisers may pick from the summer itineraries, such as the Mediterranean and Alaska. A repositioning cruise offers a lower price per day and several “at sea” days. Later in the fall, itineraries include Hawaii and many additional cruise ships in ports on the Gulf of Mexico.

Stuff ‘N’ Nonsense Boutique celebrates 22 years of dressing North Texas women in style. Always filled to capacity with beautiful apparel, accessories and fun gift items, the friendly staff loves to dress the ladies in something fabulous.

“For us, it’s like having grown-up, living Barbie dolls to play with,” explains Becky Barton, owner and local energized bunny.  Our customers are considered friends and we’re always happy to see them whether they buy something or not. Stuff ‘N’ Nonsense Boutique is a local favorite and a destination for many out-of-town guests. When we go to market we keep specific customers in mind and try to buy things we know they will LOVE.”

Giving back to the community is important to Becky. Her October Pink Ribbon Fashion Show where all the models are breast cancer survivors tops the list of organizations she supports. The proceeds go to the Komen foundation. A popular label at Stuff ’N’ Nonsense, FDJ French Dressing Jeans, is also a huge sponsor of breast cancer awareness.

SNN sponsors a Relay For Life team which won Gold & Silver status the last two years. The Boutique co-sponsors the Annual Bow-Wow Trick-or-Treat benefiting Friends for Animals & HALO in October.

Becky supports hometown and country too. She made a huge effort this last year to buy more made in the USA products. Some of the USA labels include: Sea Breeze, Mosaic , Impulse, Jess & Jane, Ezze Wear, Produce Co. & Mill Valley.

“We follow the fashion trends but we’re not a trend-driven store. We buy what we think our customers are really looking for and things that will last more than a season.” Some of these trends are: popular tunic tops and “jeggings,” faux fur accents, easy care & comfy tops & statement necklaces, all perfect for fall travel or a relaxing cruise.

Stuff “N” Nonsense offers a huge selection of fashion jewelry to perfectly accent fall fashion outfits. Fall 2011 sees a traditional autumnal forest & murky, woodland-color palette of greens, grays, plums & teal blue. Red & orange give winter color pop, while a matte black provide a classy look and sheens & metallic bring an up-to-date style.

Animal prints are classic and never go out of style. Sandy Whitworth wears a jacket by Annabele, adorned with a crystal zipper and is fully lined. Paired with the jacket are slimming FDJ French Dressing Jeans. No outfit is complete without fabulous fashion jewelry. The embellished envelope handbag completes the “Let’s Go!” look.

Sandy also models a light-weight jacket with a touch of sheen by N Touch, perfect for a mild fall & winter. The teal & browns sail into the season’s trend. Mahogany brown FDJ French Dressing jeans and accessories add the final perfect touch.

Tunic tops & leggings are a popular choice for many ladies, especially model, Nova Dea. This top by Libra is a true missy full-cut top. It’s soft to wear & washes beautifully. She also wears black See You Monday leggings. Her accessories include a cross body handbag and dangle earrings.

Nova can tell you that her second outfit is beautiful AND comfortable, plus easy wash & wear. The tunic top is by Libra. These leggings sport the look of light denim. Accessories include a beautiful statement necklace, bracelets and a plum-colored handbag.

Truly Trendy, a small boutique on Granbury’s Square, has heard the cry of its customers. “More! More!”

Truly Trendy opened for business four short years ago. The owners of the new store on the west side of Granbury’s Historic Square, Wendy Kelley and Terri Hurlbert, want you to come in and meet them. Wendy explains how the business started and expanded.

“We stumbled upon a brand of shoes that were so comfortable you could walk for 12 hours straight and your feet still felt great, plus these shoes were really cute. This combination you can’t find very often. We loaded a trailer and traveled a little, selling The Butterfly Shoe.”

This venture blossomed, so Wendy and Terri put their shoes in a store, and quickly added a few clothes and accessories.

“Well, for two women who love to shop,” Terri added, “a ‘few’ clothes very quickly turned into a 2000 square foot store in Weatherford. That store in Weatherford has been so successful that we felt it was time to open a second location and let women in another town discover what Weatherford has so enjoyed. Granbury Square is the perfect answer.”

Truly Trendy rented a booth space for a year in Granbury and then expanded. Now with a pop of purple walls and leopard carpet, plus a staff of people pleasers, the shop begs customers to come enjoy a pleasant shopping experience.

“We enjoy fashion, keeping up with ever-changing trends and watching customers walk out of our store smiling as they carry their Truly Trendy shopping bag,” Wendy said. “We really strive to meet the challenge of having clothing for ladies of all ages and sizes! As two Christian business women, we feel that God has truly blessed us with these wonderful stores and we’re excited to see what else He has for us in our upcoming business endeavors.”

Truly Trendy brings you the best customer service and an enjoyable shopping experience. Fun, exciting, the wonderful butterfly shoes and boots, old Gringo boots and trendy clothes top the list at this new store. You can find that great purse to match. Add the newest style jeans, all kinds of jewelry, including unique, one-of-a-kind pieces and holiday jewelry to fill your shopping bag.
